Ukrepi vključujejo tarifne kvote in zaščitne dajatve, ki se določajo glede na vrsto blaga, njegovo ceno in razpoložljivost kvot. Za transformatorje z vgrajenimi jedri velja zaščitna dajatev v višini 1.140 EUR na tono vgrajenega jedra. Posledično mora gospodarski subjekt ob uvozu v podatkovni element (PE)6/8 – Posebne oznake, deklarirati maso jedra vgrajenega v transformator. Podatek o masi se vpisuje pod šifro EZ, katere opis se glasi: Evropa; vsebnost v kilogramih zrnato usmerjenih ploščato valjanih izdelkov iz silicijevega jekla za elektropločevine v izdelku. Uvozniki naj pred vložitvijo carinske deklaracije za zadevno blago preverijo veljavnost zaščitnih ukrepov in razpoložljivost tarifnih kvot ter zagotovijo pravilno deklariranje vseh zahtevanih podatkov.
